Chopper Spirals Out of Control into Palm Groves at Popular Southern California Coast
A helicopter flying near a crowded southern California coastline suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately losing altitude and crashing into a cluster of palm trees as beachgoers observed.
Videos uploaded on the internet depict the chopper beginning to twirl near the shoreline then plunging towards the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged amidst palms and a set of stairs adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Details
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five persons were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the incident on the weekend.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Details on their injuries were still under review.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
