Skydance Paramount Set to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 United States Roles – Report
Paramount Skydance plans to begin mass layoffs during the week starting 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 US jobs under a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn under CEO David Ellison.
These job cuts are a result of the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August valued at $8.4bn.
Further global layoffs are likely, with Paramount Skydance aiming to disclose full details during its third-quarter financial update scheduled for November 10.
Prior news stated the firm was looking to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 positions by early November.
As of December 2024, the organization employed about 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 temporary project employees.
The organization has not provided a response on the matter.
